“I’m at a point where I feel extremely fortunate to have found my life's purpose to make a positive change in the world”. - Judith

Travel, motherhood and a brush with Cancer have helped shaped Judith Treanor’s life, “As with many cancer survivors, I live with the real possibility of cancer recurring. While I opted for unconventional treatment, 10 years later  I stand by my choices. With life so short, I am more conscious of a desire to make a difference”.

“I’m now at a point in my life where I feel extremely fortunate to have found my life's purpose and that is to make a positive change in the world”.

With 20 years’ experience as a buyer for department stores, today Judith takes much pride sourcing products for Temples and Markets - her online retail business showcasing artisan-made fashion accessories, jewellery and home decor from South East Asia, including social enterprises and small co-operatives based in Cambodia and Vietnam.

A frequent traveller to South East Asia, Judith was awestruck by the resilience, strength and astounding creativity of the people she met.  She is now part of the growing movement away from fast fashion towards ethical shopping, and is proud to support the work of organisations who are empowering women through training and fair-work opportunities
Judith Treanor is the founder of Australia's go-to curated store for ethical gifts www.templesandmarkets.com.au. Judith personally sources unique accessories, bags, jewellery and decorative gifts for men and women, direct from artisans and Social Enterprises in S.E Asia.

The tagline for the store is "Every Product has a Story".  Stories, photos and videos of the artisans are what sets the store apart and brings people closer to the source of their purchase.

“I wanted to expose the people I met to a market outside of the region and help trade those artisans and designers into a better life. When a consumer makes a purchase they are literally making a tangible difference to the life of the artisan who made it - a win-win for everyone.”

For the first time in her working life Judith says: “I feel fulfilled. There’s immense satisfaction knowing I’ve made a woman feel good about herself when she wears a beautiful piece of jewellery I’ve sourced. In turn, that same woman can enjoy the satisfaction of knowing she has helped bring prosperity to the life of the woman who made it”.

In addition in 2017, Judith founded The Pop Up Collective to support other Australian business owners who are looking for new ways to showcase their products offline, through shared pop up spaces and curated events. She curated a two day gift extravaganza in Melbourne for 30 vendors last year and will be doing the same this December.T

his year The Pop Up Collective was a ORIAS finalist for "Best In-store Initative". https://popupcollectiveaustralia.com.au/

Big news just announced recently is Judith will be co-hosting a luxury shopping, eating and pampering tour of Vietnam next March, for like-minded women who love all the good things in life - ethical shopping, bespoke experiences and indulging in the best local food. See more at www.shopeatloveourvietnam.com
